About Sarah - Person-Centred Therapeutic Counsellor

I'm Sarah, a person-centred therapeutic counsellor. In our work together, you will be at the heart of everything we do. I offer a safe, confidential, and comfortable space where you can open up about mental health challenges, including anxiety, grief, depression, and more.

I bring a unique blend of personal experience and professional training to my practice. After experiencing a bereavement in 2007 and seeking counselling in 2009, I found the process transformative in managing grief and anxiety. This life-changing experience inspired me to pursue counselling as a career.

In 2020, following redundancy, I reflected on my journey and chose to focus on helping others through counselling. I completed levels 2 to 4 in Therapeutic Counselling and am now a fully qualified professional. During my studies, I volunteered at Serendipity and Askham Bryan College, working with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

As a proud ally to the LGBTQIA+ community, I fully embrace and celebrate diversity, empathy, and acceptance. I am committed to creating a non-judgmental, inclusive space where everyone can feel heard, understood, and supported.
